Recently, Alive2Love Ambassador Frank Long was given the opportunity to share the LOVE in Mexico for a one day outreach. Read about his experience below:
It was just a one day trip; I am in Tucson, AZ right now, looking after my mother. I joined the outreach in Magdalina, Mexico with Mark and Patricia Knaak. We left at 6:00am and were back home at 10:30pm. They allowed me to tag along due to my prior experience with Alive2Love. We went door to door with donations of beans, rice, and sugar, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Magdalina is the destination for many Catholic Mexicans, many of whom walk for days and then approach the statue of Saint Francisco on their knees, across the cobblestone courtyard. They lay their penance at the feet of this statue in hopes of healing. It is a place where there is a clear and obvious need for the truth of the Gospel and the healing power that ONLY comes through Christ needs to be demonstrated.
The local pastor we were working with separated me from the others in the group at the third house feeling that I needed to concentrate on those who needed healing. He felt as if the Spirit of God was to move mightily thru me. This was true; the Holy Spirit never rejects an invitation to show Himself strong. 
As a constructor by trade, for many years I have worked major construction sites. From city to city, I have followed my work. I can pick my tools and step in with anyone just about anywhere. I am good with my tools.
However, though the concept remains the same, what has now changed is my trade: a laborer for the Gospel. I laid the old down for the joy of the Lord!
Once again I have found myself picking up my tool with strangers to build a building, this time however it is a Holy Ghost building! We are building His Body all over the world, one person at a time. Amen! Keep me in your prayers…
