Happy Friday!
We wanted to share this beautiful testimony with you from one of our missionaries who attended the La Entrada trip earlier this month…Sherri (pictured below), her husband Luke, and their children, Maddie and Jacob came on their FIRST FAMILY MISSIONS TRIP together!

What an experience they had…So many moments to share, but this one really stood out in Sherri’s mind:

“The first day out in the villages, we walked up to this house where an older woman was sitting on her porch, and the woman stands up and without us really saying anything yet she starts to invite us all into her home. We go into her home, where there was one small table, a small bed, and a couple of plastic chairs, she pulls the chairs over and asks us to please sit.

We start speaking with her and then she tells us that she knew we were coming, that the night before she had been praying; she had no strength and no encouragement as she is alone all the time.

She told us that the Lord told her it’s going to be okay and that white people from America wearing hats (most of us were wearing hats) were coming to see her the next day and that she would get some words of encouragement and that they would bring food.

As she she shared with us, we all were astounded! We praised the Lord together, and shared the Gospel with her. We offered her some food and she told us that often she only has one tortilla a day or nothing at all.

This really resonated with our son, Jacob (pictured left)….That night, before we went to bed, we asked Jacob, ‘So what did you think about today, what stuck out to you?’ He said, ‘The woman who only has one tortilla a day'”

I suppose this is what it means to be the answer to someone else’s prayer.
Some pray, some give, some go. Some do ALL of the above….But ALL of us are part of the CURE!

Thank you for being Alive2Love!
