Should one consider missions? I can only speak for myself; I am called of God- His hand rests on my shoulder. My steps are set in place by a sovereign, all-knowing God. I know when the Lord speaks to my soul because of the intimacy of our relation.  I have no doubts, though often challenged by those who stand in various positions in religious organizations. Their main objection would be ordination or what seminary I gained my certificate. That however is their issue, not mine. My call comes from God.

Regardless of your stance, all are called to some sort of involvement. This could be through prayer, finances, teaching, administrative skills, and the list goes on. I am in the field which, personally, I consider the most rewarding. Sharing the glory of your last trip can make you dance on air; you get to re-live the excitement of your last trip. It is rewarding when people search you out on your return. “Can you come for dinner and share?” is the statement I love. You will always be asked when will you go again. With all your heart you share kingdom goals with specific times and places along with cost. If you are called, you have passion! Let it glow for the glory of God!

Take your first step, you may wobble a little, but step. I am a klutz, but just as a cat, I seem to land on my feet (thank you Lord). You will most likely be as graceful as a deer…Your endeavors are a gift from God and are meant to be shared. Get on the Gospel adventure ship. Set sail as soon as possible- a new land full hunger awaits! Be blessed…
